The release date is September 18th. Oh noes... that's too soon. I'm not ready for another one. I have so much to live for!

Will I be able to play it? They better not pull the same crap that blizzard do.

Blizzard lets you play on a US server.

Its either the US or EU, unless I buy the game in the US then I can't play on a US server. But I still don't like paying for a game and then paying a subscription on top.

It's a Mythic game... same guys that did Dark Age of Camelot. EA bought Mythic halfway through development.

They slapped their name on the thing initially, but due to, I guess, a large number of people like me, they took it away. So if you Google search for it now, you'll see it says "Mythic Entertainment: Warhammer Online".

Leaves me hopeful that on this one, maybe... just maybe... EA is taking the money without fucking everything up. Maybe they'll just stay in the background and get paid for watching how a real developer works.

Oh gosh that is funny. You can't seriously belive that? You are totally gonna run into a melee combat fight, and instead of exchange witty conan-ish banter with your opponent you will be talking about the benefits of the new 5-blade Gelette razor. Your quest rewards will be bars of Degree antidorderant.

I am boycotting all EA titles because they are not going to release Madden on the PC those Fucking assholes!

    I wish you luck.

Also... Madden sucks. If it weren't the only game in town it would have been obvious years ago. EA prefers to supress competition rather than improve their own product. I've heard that '09 is buggy and missing options that were previously available... basic things like AI difficulty settings and custom controls. How dare they.

Mayhaps I should elaborate a little on why WAR makes me moist.

This thing is supposed to be PvP paradise. Along with the normal skirmishes and battlegrounds, there are Campaigns, which are ongoing wars to gain control of the enemy faction's capital city. Once you win the fight for a capital, you control it. The enemy city is occupied until they can evict you from it. In the meantime you get to loot and pillage... pull down statues, kill the locals, do special quests, all that jazz.

PvP gives loot and learnings. Dead enemy players give loot and gold just like mobs do. You can go from level 1 to 40 without killing a single mob.

There's a battleground game type called "Murderball". Yes! http://warhammeronline.wikia.com/wiki/Murder_Ball
