So, I was looking through steam this morning and noticed it was pulling down a lot of data, so I started to check through what the updates were. Looks like they released Goldrush 2, and the medic achievments. Very cool. Plus, they are doing a TF2 free weekend. If you have a steam account, you just need to pre-load TF2, and then starting on Friday you can play it for Free.

In other TF2 news, a worldwide Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend will begin Friday at noon PDT, and will include access to the new content released today in the TF2: Gold Rush Update. Using the functionality made available through Steam and Steamworks, all of the files needed to join the Free Weekend are available for pre-loading now.

Hopefully for those of you on the fence about wanting to give TF2 a go, this will be a good thing. You can try the whole game out for free.

I suggest you try every class for at least 15-30 minutes of game play to get a good idea. I played the game for a long time, never really finding a class that worked well for me. But, I found the Heavy not too long ago, and man... so much fun. Tried it once before, but only gave it 5 minutes. Gave it about 20, and hit my groove.
